You arrive in Kathmandu.
Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will be greeted by a member of our staff, you will be taken to your hotel. (This, of course, is at no charge.) As part of most of our trek and tour program options, your stay in Kathmandu (for the duration of your Karnali Excursions (P) Ltd program/itinerary) is part of the program price. (However, if you have made other arrangements for accommodations, no problem. We will adjust the program cost accordingly. )

You explore best of Kathmandu.
Before your actual trek begins, while we prepare the final details of your trek (permits, visas, gear, etc.), we will show you around Kathmandu — Free! You'll have the opportunity to see palaces, temples, maybe do some shopping, have tea, or whatever. It's a great way to get acquainted with one another and allow you to begin to immerse yourself within our culture.

You go on your trek or tour.
We have many nice itinerary options for you to choose from, as well as customized excursions, from walking culture tours to longer treks into the untouristed Himalayas. No doubt you will not only be enchanted and mesmerized by what you'll encounter, but a little weary after the end of your excursion. But, you just might want more! Many do.

Perhaps a "Side Trip" too.
Many of our visitors, before or after going on their arranged "primary" trek/tour, take a few days to enjoy other parts of Nepal: relaxing along the Rapti River in Sauraha (the gateway town to Chitwan National Park), watching elephants being bathed by their handlers (and the tourists); Nagarkot, where you can escape the summer heat of Kathmandu and marvel at its nature (only two hours away); Bardiya National Park, unique wildlife reserve; to, Lumbini, birthplace of Lord Buddha. We'll handle all the arrangements for you if you so desire.

Before heading home, dinner is on us.
As part of most of our trek and tour program options is a post-excursion "night out." Join with us as we say farewell to one another and enjoy a wonderful cultural show and dinner in Kathmandu.

Something else?
We want to ensure the adventure of a lifetime for you. So, if there is anything else you would like to do, see or experience in Nepal or surrounding regions (festivals, cultural gathering, etc.), just tell us. We'll handle the arrangements for you, and provide some ideas if you wish.
